Hey There!! I'm Kate.

 

I am originally from a small rural town in Minnesota and am so grateful for my roots! I moved to Las Vegas in 2007 and never thought I would love the Desert as much as I do, but yes I miss the water! I am a blessed mom to 3 funny, talented, and beautiful children that keep me cleaning, driving, and doing way too much laundry. I know what it's like to crave some "me" time. Even as a hairstylist, I average getting my own hair done twice, MAYBE three times a year. So I know how important the time you spend in my chair is,  I want you to leave feeling refreshed and like the best version of you!

 

As a stylist behind the chair for almost 24 years, a traveling wedding and event hair and makeup artist, and a Wella color educator for the stylist industry, my career has morphed many times! I have always worked in high end spas, I have run my own business 2 times, I have taken many classes, worked with many amazing artists, and taught and educated stylists and assistants on the west coast for Lifespa and Wella .I have enjoyed every part of what I never thought I would be doing. I have done it all, from nails to waxing and lash extensions, I always love the hair aspect.

I love a good challenge; a color correction is my jam. I love blondes, and foiling, and short women's and men's cuts. I want to come up with the best plan for you to achieve and maintain your cut and color, that will keep your hair healthy and something low maintenance that will fit your schedule. I want you to have fun and comfort in my chair and hope you enjoy some time for yourself. During your consultation I will most likely ask you too many questions. I want to make sure I am in complete understanding of exactly what you want and your expectations. I will not lead you in a direction that will be too much maintenance, damage your hair or something that you can not recreate on your own.

 

In all my years behind the chair, I have found it most rewarding to learn about people. My favorite part about my job is truly my clients! It has been amazing to meet so many different walks of life and realize how alike everyone is and how many people share the same emotions and needs. I love to hear about my guest's lives, experiences, and adventures. I want you to have fun in my chair and look forward to your appointment, I hope we have some laughs and you enjoy sharing your time with me.

 

Outside the salon you will find me with my family and friends. I love surprises and laughing, I have a hard time saying no to a dare, (I'm very competitive) and end up usually injured. My husband of 16 years is hilarious and laid back, you will find us traveling as much as we can and in the summer you will find us down at our river spot, boating, tubing, jet skiing and playing in the water, usually getting too much sun! We have 3 awesome kids, our oldest is a sports nut and the sweetest boy, our middle daughter is type 1 diabetic so she constantly has us on our toes and is the funniest teenage girl I know, and our youngest is 3 and a tornado and the joy of our household, our life is fast and chaotic, but oh so fun!
